Multi Benefit Power Solutions

Need to reduce your carbon footprint, supplement or fully replace grid power, or deal with an unreliable grid?

We develop tailor-made and sustainable power solutions for our clients – helping them generate cleaner energy and use it more efficiently.

Technology Agnostic

We don’t play favourites. When developing a power solution for you, we have no preferred technology and are not bound to any particular manufacturer or equipment type.

We determine what your requirements are and investigate all available options, then develop the best solution for your business – one that meets your needs and provides tangible value.

We only work with world-class technologies (e.g., high-quality solar PV panels from leading manufacturers) to make sure you get the optimal outcome and results.

Rapid Mobilisation into Multiple Territories

Through our extensive geographic footprint we can roll out projects in many countries and territories, quickly and effectively.

Full Service, Tailor-Made Projects of Various Sizes, Scopes, and Types

We develop tailor-made and sustainable power solutions for our clients – helping them generate cleaner energy and use it more efficiently.

Our roots are in advisory and sustainability consulting. To this, we have added partnerships with leading industry players that bring skills, experience, and cutting-edge technology to the table. This allows us to provide you with a full complement of power generation products and services, from project development to engineering, procurement, and consulting – and post-development operations and maintenance (of our own projects, or we can provide this to existing infrastructure and facilities).

We have the capacity and capability to develop, design, build, own, and operate power generation projects of various sizes, from individual generation facilities and microgrids to utility-scale solar, wind, and hydroelectric power stations for national utilities, industrial, mining, and commercial clients.

Project sizes range from 100kW to 100MW and above, and power solutions we offer include grid-tied (including “islandable” options), off-grid, and backup power solutions. Power plants can be developed on behalf of a client (full ownership), on balance sheet by ourselves with a power purchase agreement (PPA) in place, or with other customised and flexible models.

Power Generation Technologies

We utilise a wide range of technologies, including solar, wind, and hydro, to develop the solution that works best for you and helps you meet your goals.

Key power generation technologies we work with:

Solar Power

Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels are a very commonly used solution for generating renewable power due to their ability to convert photons of sunlight into electricity (the “photovoltaic effect”). Used in arrays of various sizes, PV panels can provide power to many types of commercial or industrial facilities, from large mines, factories, or warehouses, all the way down to small, local businesses.

One of the reasons for the popularity of solar panels as a renewable energy source is that they dovetail well will existing facilities. Building roofs, carports, and other flat areas can be ideal places to fit PV panels – creating a useful source of sustainable energy without the need to build a separate, dedicated power plant.

Since the development of the first working solar cell in the mid-1950s, the use and availability of PV solar panels have increased exponentially. Modern PV panels are available in a variety of types, sizes, and quality levels. We only use the best, Canadian-made, solar panels for client projects to ensure you get the most efficient, long-lasting solution.

We also provide a range of professional services to support all renewable power generation and energy storage projects.

Wind Power

Also referred to as wind energy, this renewable source of power is created by using the natural force of the wind to spin turbines that generate electrical energy.

Wind power can be generated at utility-scale, dedicated wind farms but also on smaller sites where wind turbines can operate side by side with other activities, e.g., on farms or at manufacturing or industrial facilities. We develop wind power generation facilities of all sizes using the latest available technologies and best quality hardware and equipment.

We also provide a range of professional services to support all renewable power generation and energy storage projects.

Hydropower

Hydroelectric power (sometimes also called hydroelectricity or hydroelectric energy) is produced when the force of moving or falling water is used to spin a turbine, which converts mechanical movement into electricity.

Hydro plants are usually established as one of three types (impoundment, diversion, or pumped storage), with the type used determined by the size and scope of the required facility, the client’s power needs, the local environment and topography, available water resources, and other factors. Establishing a hydroelectric plant can present some environmental challenges, we work closely with all project stakeholders to minimise environmental impact.

We also provide a range of professional services to support all renewable power generation and energy storage projects.

Biodiesel

Rising fossil-fuel prices and an increased awareness of the need to reduce greenhouse gasses have led to more interest in and development of viable biofuels – made from renewable, organic sources, e.g., plant-based (usually non-food) cellulose, algae, new and used vegetable oils, animal fats, and other raw materials.

Biodiesel provides an easily accessible way to power smaller power generation plants and equipment, and it can be used in vehicles and other self-powering equipment (pure or blended with petroleum diesel), with minimal to no adaptation required.

We also provide a range of professional services to support all renewable power generation and energy storage projects.

Biogas

Food production and other activities generate vast amounts of organic waste (the USA alone is estimated to produce over 70 million tons of organic waste a year. This waste material can be converted into a usable fuel via anaerobic digestion processes – turning it from a problem into a power solution – with carbon emissions up to 25 times less than if this organic waste was disposed of via conventional methods, e.g., in a landfill.

Biogas can be used to power many types of equipment that have traditionally been run on natural gas – including power generators of various sizes.

We also provide a range of professional services to support all renewable power generation and energy storage projects.

Gas

Although natural gas is still a non-renewable source of energy, it is much cleaner burning than coal, diesel, and other fossil fuels. This fuel is also often competitively priced and, by providing the grid stability and backup power services required to manage the integration of large quantities of renewable energy into national electricity grids will play an important role in the transition from “dirty” fossil fuel-driven power generation to a fully sustainable, clean energy model in the future.

We also provide a range of professional services to support all renewable power generation and energy storage projects.

Power Generation

Microgrids

By creating a pool of resources, microgrids help reduce your overall power cost, increase power availability, and reduce the risk of business disruption due to planned or unplanned grid power shortages (e.g., loadshedding and breakdowns).

Our microgrids are suitable for all types of industrial and commercial clients and can be developed on a grid-tied (with an islandable option), off-grid, or backup power basis. They can be powered entirely by renewable energy or a combination of sustainable and more traditional utility power.

Power Generation

Power Wheeling

Power wheeling is the practice of moving power generated in one area to another where it is used. Often this is done by transmitting power via an existing grid owned by a power utility or other large organisation.

We work with power transmission networks to wheel power from the point of generation to your facility. This allows you to reduce your carbon footprint and benefit from lower energy prices by using renewable power generated off-site and then transmitted to your site, e.g., where power can be produced at a lower cost elsewhere or where it is not practical or cost-effective to build or install renewable power generating equipment at your site.

Power Generation

Energy Storage

One of the challenges faced when switching over to more renewable power sources is that maximum generation and peak demand rarely coincide. Industrial-scale, battery-based energy storage solutions make it possible to generate power when renewable sources like solar energy and wind are available, store the energy created, and use it later.
